I grew up in a small town in Northwest Arkansas, and I have been steeped in writing my whole life. From a young age, my family encouraged my love for film, and its potential as a medium of storytelling has always been captivating to me. Watching movies like The Lighthouse or There Will Be Blood and seeing the aspects of a film coalesce into a spectacular whole has motivated my interest in the role that strong narratives play as a driving force for art. Over time, this interest seeped into my love for video games, and as I played games like Portal 2, Disco Elysium, and the Fallout franchise, I realized the capacity for storytelling that video games offer, and they became my primary focus. As an Eagle Scout, I often find myself invested in stories which focus on nature and our relationship with it. It was later on, through earning a Creative Writing degree at the University of Arkansas, that I developed a stronger sense of writing as a craft, along with how to better develop my stories and make them more compelling. Now, I find as much time as I can to write and further improve my own capabilities as a storyteller. With a strong focus on video games, I look to contribute to stories as compelling as the ones that shaped me.
